Evacuation alerts are now in effect on the edges of Logan Lake, BC. Both the local municipal district and the town itself issued the notices. The Guichon Creek fire sits at 88 hectares. That one is not under control. Crews are actively monitoring it. Residents have been told to get ready to leave if the situation worsens.

A separate fire near Monte Lake, right beside Highway 97, burned 12 hectares. Crews took control of that one. It is no longer spreading now. The two fires sit within a bigger push to manage the broader threat, officials reported on July 30, 2026.
