Latest News About Ed Husic slams Labour’s culture after Gaza debate motion fails

Ed Husic, Australia’s Minister for Industry and Science, criticised Labour’s internal workings after his initiative to open a debate on recognising Gaza was rejected.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said described his statement at a conference as incompetent.

Husic responded by saying he was unperturbed by criticism, telling reporters: "put me in a cold chamber, I don't care at all."

The dispute followed previous efforts to push the party to formally recognise events in Gaza as genocide.

Party documents and internal files were later filed that revealed serious rifts within Labour’s ranks over policy and leadership.
