Aldi has adjusted its self-service checkout policy after reports of escalating difficulties with shoppers. The policy, which allowed staff to wait outside for customers using self-checkout machines, was withdrawn nationwide following reports of misuse and threats. The move comes after multiple media outlets highlighted the issue, including SMH.com.au, Nine.com.au, and Yahoo News Australia.
