Miguel Díaz-Canel spoke to crowds in Havana the US is attempting to destroy Cuba’s political system.
He announced Washington wants full control through the island.
Díaz-Canel described American policies a form of political genocide during July 26 events.
He emphasised this is a menace to Cuba’s right to govern.
Raúl Castro did not attend from the main rally.
Tensions are elevated because of sanctions and US political pressure.
