A marine mammal was relocated from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died a short time later. The move happened before the loss.
Marineland also sent four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park has no remaining dolphins. Only belugas stay at the park.
The transfer left the facility quieter. Staff monitor water quality and animal health. Visitors see far fewer animals. The park’s visitor count dropped.
The wooded surroundings remain the same. The water is still strong. The park retains a small number of belugas. Visitors see fewer animal performances. The water continues to be clear.
