The Scottish Government has pledged a £14m funding injection towards the restoration of Glasgow's People's Palace and Winter Gardens. Total expenses for the museum scheme now pass £50m. The historic site to re-open the Glasgow museum and gardens has been shut for a prolonged period.

BBC and The Herald stated the venue is expected to remain shut until 2029.
