Bill Murray has returned to his role as Peter Venkman from the Ghostbusters franchise, appearing in a Halloween advertisement for electric vehicle maker Rivian. The ad features Murray patrolling New York City in the Ecto-R1, a Ghostbusters-themed electric SUV made by Rivian.
The appearance comes as a surprise return to the franchise for the 75-year-old actor, though it is not connected to any film. Rivian released the campaign on 9 October 2026, ahead of Halloween.
