Amanda Stoker has been appointed as the new child safety and domestic violence minister in Queensland, replacing Amanda Camm. Camm resigned from the frontbench due to safety reasons. Stoker, a conservative backbencher, was officially sworn in amid reports of a cut-throat performance measure for the new minister. The appointment comes as Queensland confronts challenges in addressing child safety and domestic violence issues.
